george critchleyGeorge Critchley is the artistic director and producer of PMA Productions Ltd.

PMA stands for Positive Mental Attitude; and Productions, Management Agency.

He has been involved in professional theatre for 18 years in many different guises from actor, director, sales and marketing to now, producer of his own company (dreams can come true!)
In 1995 he founded REACT theatre company from scratch in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, and over three and a half years developed it into one of the foremost companies in the U.K. producing Theatre in Education, corporate presentations and pantomimes. He was then “poached” by Qdos Entertainment plc to work as an actor and company manager on a number of UK theatre tours for them.

Whilst working with Qdos, he then started his company PMA Productions with his first production of Jack and the Beanstalk in January 2000.

For the last ten years he has been involved with Pendle Leisure as an actor and the last seven as Producer/writer for the pantomime and various drama projects.

‘‘ Jack and the Beanstalk” was his first foray into producing pantomimes at the Municipal Hall in January 2000 and then in January 2001, he produced “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” with Anne Nolan as the Wicked Queen and her daughter Amy as Snow White to much acclaim locally; In January, 2002 he was invited back to produce “Aladdin and his Magic Lamp” with Maureen Nolan in the title role and in December 2002 and January 2003 he produced “The Wizard of Oz” and “Cinderella” respectively at the Municipal Hall with Andrew Mackintosh from The Bill as Prince Charming in Cinderella and since then has gone from strength to strength producing the pantomime at The Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond, Darwen Library Theatre, The Prince of Wales Theatre in Cannock, Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre as well as the Muni Theatre in Colne.
